To support the EWGA strategy to increase the number of women and girls participating in golf the EGU and EWGA are working together to implement their ‘Driving Women’s Golf’ initiative.
The EGU/EWGA Golf Club Membership Questionnaire 2006 showed that 85% of affiilated golf clubs had vacancies for female members (adults & juniors). To help promote the wide range of opportunities that are available for females of all ages, the EGU/EWGA is working alongside golf clubs and counties to help achieve this.
If you are interested in trying golf, then why not attend an EGU/EWGA 'Free' taster session. Golf clubs annually offer beginners a free lesson with a qualifed PGA Professional, equipment is provided free of charge and all you need to do is book a lesson and turn up on the day in comfortable clothing.
