Skills for Ranges
Skills for Ranges
The National Skills Challenge was launched in 2006 as a fun coaching initiative for affiliated golf clubs to run for their junior players.
The Challenge consists of 10 Skills activities based on the 5 golfing disciplines of putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play and full swing. It is hoped that these coaching activities will encourage junior players to improve their golf, increase their enjoyment of the game and encourage them to practice the skills required to complete each activity.
The 10 Challenges have been designed for use within golf clubs, however driving ranges may be able to utilise some of the activities within their junior coaching.
Any Driving Range registered for the RangeMark Initiative can request copies of the Skills activities and resources by emailing development@englishgolfunion.org
The EGU/EWGA will send out cue cards detailing the activities and scorecards for your players. View the full details of the adapted Skills Challenge for Driving Ranges .
